Roger Field (Consultant)

Before joining New Media Law in October 2004, Roger was previously Group Legal Director for Random House for 5 years and prior to that ran the legal department at IPC Magazines for 7 years.

Prior to those roles, he was the broadcast lawyer for TV-am. Roger specialises in publishing law (particularly as it relates to books and magazines) and is a well known expert in Libel law. Until his departure from Random House, he was the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Publisher's Association.

From within New Media Law, Roger offers libel reading services (as well as his general commercial and legal expertise) to a host of publishing and media companies. Random House remains an important client and uses his services regularly, as do Macmillan and Penguin
